Outside Sales Manager – Fluid Power & Industrial Distribution | Cleveland, OH
I am hiring on behalf of a well-established industrial distribution company in the Cleveland area looking to add an Outside Sales Manager to their growing team.
This is a great opportunity for someone with a fluid power or industrial distribution background who wants to own a territory, build relationships, and make a direct impact on revenue growth.
The Role
You will be responsible for managing and growing a book of business across the Greater Cleveland territory, calling on existing accounts while actively pursuing new business. You will serve as the technical and commercial point of contact for customers across manufacturing, OEM, and MRO markets.
What You'll Be Doing
- Managing and growing a territory of key accounts across industrial and fluid power markets
- Generating new business through prospecting, lead development, and cold outreach
- Providing technical and commercial support across hydraulics, pneumatics, fluid handling, and motion control product lines
- Traveling to customer sites for on-site support, product presentations, and strategic partnership discussions
- Collaborating with internal teams including purchasing, logistics, and inside sales to fulfill customer needs
- Identifying opportunities for value-added solutions across OEM and MRO channels
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of outside sales or account management experience in industrial distribution, fluid power, or a related field
- Working knowledge of hydraulic systems, pneumatic systems, fluid handling components, hoses, fittings, valves, actuators, or motion control products
- Proven track record of growing territory revenue and winning new accounts
- Strong technical aptitude — ability to understand customer applications and recommend solutions
- Self-starter who is comfortable managing a territory independently
- Experience calling on manufacturing, industrial, or OEM customers is a plus
