Structural Superintendent – High-Rise Construction
North Miami, FL
Salary: $135,000 – $160,000 (DOE)
We are seeking an experienced Structural Superintendent to lead the structural phase of a 22-story high-rise project in North Miami. This role is critical to ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and coordination across all structural trades.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all structural construction activities, including concrete, formwork, rebar, post-tensioning, and structural sequencing.
- Manage day-to-day field operations to ensure work is completed on schedule, within budget, and per plans/specs.
- Coordinate closely with project management, engineers, inspectors, subcontractors, and vendors.
- Enforce site safety protocols and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards.
- Review drawings, structural plans, and RFIs; proactively identify and resolve field issues.
- Conduct daily site walks, progress meetings, and subcontractor coordination meetings.
- Maintain accurate field reports, schedules, and quality control documentation.
- Ensure proper inspections, testing, and approvals are completed at each phase.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience as a Superintendent on high-rise or mid-rise concrete structures.
- Proven experience managing structural scopes on multi-story projects.
- Strong understanding of concrete high-rise construction methods.
- Ability to read and interpret structural drawings and specifications.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong safety mindset and track record.
- Ability to work on-site full-time.
Preferred
- Experience with Florida high-rise construction.
- Familiarity with South Florida inspection processes.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
