About the Role:
As a Project Manager, you will work closely with the Sr Project Manager and key stakeholders to support the successful delivery of commercial construction and tenant improvement projects for retail clients. You’ll be responsible for managing project timelines, budgets, and communication to ensure all goals are met with excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, coordinating, and overseeing commercial construction and tenant improvement projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Act as a liaison between clients, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure clear communication and alignment on project goals.
- Monitor project schedules, budgets, and documentation, providing regular updates to the Project Manager and stakeholders.
- Coordinate and manage subcontractor schedules, change orders, and procurement of materials.
- Perform on-site inspections to ensure adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and quality control measures.
- Support the Project Manager in resolving issues that arise during the project lifecycle.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, as well as company policies.
- Maintain detailed and organized project documentation, including contracts, invoices, and progress reports.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, vendors, and subcontractors.
Qualifications & Skills:
- 2+ years of experience in commercial construction and tenant improvement projects, preferably within the retail sector.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred but not required).
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Familiarity with permitting processes and building codes in Texas (preferred).
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset with a strong attention to detail.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the Dallas-Fort Worth area as required.
