Our client is looking for a Construction Superintendent to work at a location in South Florida

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Construction Superintendent with expertise in commercial ground up and restaurant construction projects. As a Construction Superintendent, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful completion of construction projects from inception to final delivery. Your extensive knowledge and hands-on experience in these specific areas will be vital in ensuring the timely and cost-effective execution of projects, while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Project Planning and Execution: Collaborate with project stakeholders to define project goals, timelines, and budgets. Develop comprehensive project plans, including construction schedules, resource allocation, and procurement strategies. Coordinate and manage all aspects of construction activities, ensuring compliance with project specifications, codes, and regulations. Oversee and supervise subcontractors, vendors, and construction crews, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project milestones.

2. Site Management and Quality Control: Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor construction progress, identify potential issues, and implement corrective measures. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations to create a safe working environment. Maintain high standards of quality control and ensure adherence to project specifications and design intent. Review and approve construction documentation, including shop drawings, material submittals, and project-related documentation.

3. Team Coordination and Communication: Collaborate closely with architects, engineers, designers, and other project stakeholders to ensure seamless coordination and successful project outcomes. Provide clear and effective communication channels to all project team members, subcontractors, and suppliers. Conduct regular meetings with the project team to review progress, resolve issues, and make decisions promptly. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment, promoting teamwork and problem-solving among project team members.

4. Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project budgets, cost estimates, and expenditures, ensuring financial targets are met. Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering solutions without compromising quality. Review and approve invoices, change orders, and payment applications from subcontractors and suppliers. Prepare regular progress reports, including cost tracking, to keep project stakeholders informed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field (preferred).

Proven experience as a Construction Superintendent with commercial new build, and restaurant projects

Strong knowledge of construction techniques, codes, and regulations related to these specific project types.

Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with diverse teams.

Solid understanding of project management principles, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource management.

Proficient in reading and interpreting construction plans, drawings, and specifications.

Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritizing tasks and meeting deadlines.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a proactive and solutions-oriented approach.
