Position Summary: As a Construction Project Manager you will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing the construction phases of bespoke restaurant and retail projects. You will be responsible for ensuring that construction activities align with project objectives, timelines, and budgetary constraints, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Coordination:
- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans, including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Collaborate with the design and development teams to ensure construction plans align with project specifications and goals.
- Coordinate and liaise with subcontractors, vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless project execution.
Budget Management:
- Monitor and manage project budgets, ensuring cost control and adherence to financial constraints.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or safety standards.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
- Implement and enforce quality control measures to achieve high-quality construction outcomes.
Risk Management:
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project disruptions.
- Proactively address issues as they arise, maintaining open communication with relevant stakeholders.
Timeline Management:
- Develop and maintain construction schedules, ensuring timely completion of projects.
- Implement strategies to expedite construction processes without compromising safety or quality.
Team Leadership:
- Lead and motivate on-site construction teams, fostering a collaborative and efficient working environment.
- Conduct regular team meetings to communicate project updates, expectations, and address concerns.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Construction Project Manager, preferably in restaurant or retails projects
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and techniques.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
