- Mentor and guide preconstruction team members, including estimators and coordinators, to build a high-performing department.
- Navigate Broward, Palm Beach and Miami Dade County's permitting processes, zoning regulations, and coastal construction challenges (e.g., hurricane preparedness) to minimize delays.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 12 years of experience in construction preconstruction or estimating, with at least 7 years in a leadership role (e.g., Preconstruction Manager, Senior Estimator) for a general contractor.
- Experience leading preconstruction for at least 3 high-value projects (e.g., hospitals, schools, or high-rise buildings, $100M+ each), including at least one high-rise project (20+ floors).
- Proven expertise in cost estimation, value engineering, and scheduling for complex healthcare, educational, or high-rise residential projects.

- Certifications such as CPE (Certified Professional Estimator) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager) preferred.
- Established relationships with South Florida subcontractors, suppliers, and architects preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple preconstruction projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience leading preconstruction for mission-critical facilities (e.g., hospitals with advanced MEP systems, schools with stringent safety standards, or luxury high-rise condominiums).
- Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and certifications (e.g., LEED, Envision).
- Proven ability to secure repeat business through strong client relationships and accurate preconstruction deliverables.
