About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Exterior Superintendent to oversee all exterior construction activities on high-rise commercial and residential projects in Miami. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in façade systems, curtain wall, waterproofing, roofing, and exterior finishes, ensuring that work is executed safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all exterior trades and subcontractors, including façade, glazing, waterproofing, concrete, stucco, painting, and exterior finishes.
- Ensure all work complies with project plans, specifications, local building codes, and safety regulations.
- Maintain the project schedule by planning, sequencing, and monitoring exterior activities.
- Conduct daily site walks to monitor progress, safety compliance, and quality control.
- Collaborate closely with the Project Manager, General Superintendent, and other site leadership to resolve field issues.
- Review shop drawings, submittals, and RFI responses related to exterior scopes.
- Lead coordination with crane operations, material deliveries, and installation sequencing for exterior systems.
- Enforce safety standards and conduct toolbox talks specific to exterior scopes.
- Communicate effectively with ownership, design teams, and consultants during inspections and site visits.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of construction supervision experience, with at least 3 years focused on exterior scopes for high-rise projects.
- Strong technical knowledge of façade systems, curtain wall, glazing, waterproofing, and roofing.
- Proven experience delivering large-scale commercial and/or residential towers in urban environments.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- OSHA 30 certification (required).
