About the Opportunity

Build People is partnering with a leading, well-established General Contractor in South Florida to recruit an Assistant Project Manager with experience delivering high-rise construction projects. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a top-tier builder with a strong pipeline of landmark residential and mixed-use developments across Miami.

The Role

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will play a key role in supporting the successful delivery of complex high-rise projects from preconstruction through close-out. You’ll work closely with senior leadership, field teams, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in managing all phases of high-rise construction projects
• Support project budgeting, cost tracking, and financial reporting
• Coordinate subcontractor procurement, buyout, and contract administration
• Review drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
• Collaborate with Superintendents to ensure alignment between field and office
• Help maintain project schedules and track key milestones
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory requirements
• Build strong relationships with clients, consultants, and trade partners

Requirements

• 2–5 years’ experience in construction project management
• Experience working on high-rise residential or mixed-use projects preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
• Strong understanding of construction processes, documentation, and sequencing
• Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar tools
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Driven, detail-oriented, and eager to grow within a top GC environment
