About the Opportunity
Build People is partnering with a leading General Contractor in South Florida to appoint an experienced Project Manager to deliver large-scale high-rise projects across Miami. This contractor has a strong reputation for delivering complex, high-profile residential and mixed-use developments and offers a long-term, stable pipeline of work.
The Role
As Project Manager, you will take full ownership of projects from preconstruction through completion, leading both the project team and subcontractor network to ensure successful delivery. You’ll be responsible for driving schedule, budget, quality, and client satisfaction on fast-paced, technically challenging high-rise builds.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the full lifecycle of high-rise construction projects ($50M–$200M+)
- Manage project budgets, cost control, forecasting, and financial reporting
- Oversee subcontractor procurement, buyout, and contract negotiations
- Develop and maintain project schedules in collaboration with field teams
- Review and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, and design coordination
- Ensure alignment between office and field operations
- Maintain strong client relationships and act as the primary point of contact
- Drive project safety, quality assurance, and compliance standards
- Mentor and develop Assistant Project Managers and project staff
Requirements
- 5–10+ years’ experience in construction project management
- Proven experience delivering high-rise residential or mixed-use projects
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
- Strong commercial acumen and track record managing large project budgets
- Proficiency in Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6/MS Project, or similar
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment
