We are recruiting on behalf of our client, the largest North American manufacturer in their space, for a Sales Engineer to join their team in Wixom, MI. If you have a background in industrial capital equipment sales and thrive in a technical, consultative environment, we want to hear from you.
What you'll be doing
- Selling large, custom engineered industrial equipment to automotive and general manufacturing customers
- Managing and growing existing accounts while developing new business
- Preparing and presenting technical proposals and quotes
- Educating customers on product features, benefits, and applications
- Negotiating contracts and terms
- Traveling domestically and internationally to support sales activity
- Working closely with engineering and service teams on technical needs
What we're looking for
- 5+ years of capital equipment or industrial sales experience
- Engineering or technical degree, or comparable industry experience
- Experience selling into automotive, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Strong consultative sales approach with experience managing complex, long-cycle sales
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
