As a Construction Estimator, you will play a pivotal role in the pre-construction process by accurately forecasting costs, developing budgets, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to secure projects. Your expertise will ensure that we deliver exceptional results to our clients while maintaining financial and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Estimate Preparation: Develop detailed cost estimates for commercial interior projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontractor expenses.
- Bid Coordination: Prepare and submit competitive bids, ensuring alignment with client specifications and timelines.
- Vendor & Subcontractor Collaboration: Solicit and evaluate proposals from suppliers and subcontractors to ensure accurate pricing and scope coverage.
- Risk Analysis: Identify potential risks and propose mitigation strategies to maintain project budgets and schedules.
- Market Research: Stay up-to-date with industry trends, material costs, and construction technologies.
- Client Interaction: Collaborate with clients and internal teams to refine project scopes and budgets.
- Documentation: Maintain organized records of estimates, bid submissions, and supporting documentation for future reference.
Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years as a Construction Estimator, ideally with a focus on commercial interiors.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Skills:
- Proficient in construction estimating software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, or similar).
- Strong understanding of New York City building codes and regulations.
- Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.
- Some Project Management experience would be an advantage
