Location: Eastern United States

Work Arrangement: Site-based

Travel: Frequent nationwide travel required

Build People is representing an established industrial manufacturer seeking a senior sales leader to lead its U.S. field sales organization.

This position will be responsible for sales strategy, team performance, revenue growth and the development of key customer and distributor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the national sales plan.
• Lead, coach and develop a geographically distributed outside sales team.
• Drive revenue growth and market expansion.
• Establish performance expectations and accountability across the sales organization.
• Develop relationships with key customers, distributors and commercial partners.
• Monitor market conditions, competitors and pricing activity.
• Manage forecasting, budgeting, pipeline visibility and performance reporting.
• Partner with Operations, Product Management and Customer Service.
• Improve sales processes and commercial execution.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing or a related discipline preferred.
• 8+ years of progressive B2B sales experience.
• 5+ years of sales-management experience within manufacturing, industrial distribution or engineered products.
• Experience leading and developing a regional or national field sales team.
• Proven record of achieving sales targets and delivering revenue growth.
• Strong distributor, key-account and end-user relationship experience.
• Strong forecasting, commercial planning and performance-management abilities.
• Willingness to travel frequently throughout the United States.
