Compensation : Competitive base + bonus
We are representing an established manufacturer of engineered flow control and fluid transfer products seeking a Technical Sales Specialist to support continued growth across the Gulf Coast.
This position combines office-based commercial support with customer-facing business development. The successful candidate will use their technical valve knowledge and industry relationships to develop opportunities with chemical plants, refineries, industrial facilities, engineering firms and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new business within chemical, refining, processing and general industrial markets
- Build relationships with end users, engineering firms, contractors and distribution partners
- Identify applications and recommend appropriate valve solutions
- Conduct customer meetings, technical presentations and site visits
- Manage opportunities from initial inquiry through quotation, negotiation and order placement
- Provide technical and commercial support throughout the sales process
- Monitor market activity, competing products and customer investment projects
- Maintain an accurate pipeline, territory plan and sales forecast
- Coordinate with internal engineering, operations and customer-support teams
- Represent the business at customer meetings and relevant industry events
Candidate Requirements
- At least five years of industrial valve sales experience
- Experience serving chemical, refining, petrochemical, manufacturing or process-industry customers
- Strong understanding of valve applications, specifications, materials and industry standards
- Familiarity with industrial purchasing processes, project bidding, quotations and pricing
- Existing relationships within the Gulf Coast industrial market are strongly preferred
- Previous experience working for a valve manufacturer or industrial distributor is beneficial
- Strong communication, negotiation and relationship-development skills
- Comfortable balancing office-based responsibilities with regular regional customer travel
- Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office
- Authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship
