Position Overview:
Our Client, a mid sized general contractor is seeking an experienced Project Executive to oversee high-profile construction projects in Miami, FL, with a focus on bespoke hospitality, commercial, and multi family developments. The ideal candidate will bring strategic leadership, proven expertise in managing new build and renovation projects, and a deep understanding of South Florida’s construction landscape. This role involves driving project success from preconstruction to completion, fostering and developing new client relationships, and leading cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional results on time and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the execution of multiple projects, including bespoke restaurants, luxury retail, and multi family projects, from preconstruction through closeout.
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and risk mitigation plans to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery.
- Lead collaboration with owners, architects, engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders to align project goals and resolve challenges.
- Drive preconstruction efforts, including cost estimation, value engineering, and constructability reviews, in coordination with Origin’s preconstruction team.
- Ensure compliance with tri County building codes, OSHA safety regulations, and environmental standards, including hurricane preparedness.
- Utilize advanced project management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6) to streamline operations and reporting.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships to secure repeat business and referrals in South Florida’s competitive market.
- Mentor and guide project managers, superintendents, and field teams to foster a culture of accountability and excellence.
- Monitor project performance, delivering regular updates to senior leadership and clients to ensure transparency.
- Navigate Miami’s regulatory and permitting processes to minimize delays and ensure project success.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 10 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Project Executive, Senior Project Manager) for a general contractor.
- Experience leading high-end projects (e.g., bespoke restaurants, luxury retail, or Multi Family developments).
- Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget in urban markets like Miami, FLD & WPB
- Expertise in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project) and cost estimation tools.
- In-depth knowledge of Tri County building codes, permitting processes, and coastal construction regulations.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and negotiation skills, with a client-focused approach.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, architecture, or a related field (Master’s degree or PMP certification preferred).
- OSHA 30 certification required; additional certifications (e.g., CCM, LEED AP) are a plus.
- Strong relationships with South Florida subcontractors, suppliers, and architects preferred.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple high-profile projects simultaneously.
