With a legacy of excellence in hospitality, commercial, and residential construction, we specialize in complex, luxury developments for high-profile clients. Our current project, a $450 million two-building development featuring a 7-star hotel and luxury residences, represents the pinnacle of bespoke construction. Join our team to lead a transformative project in Miami’s vibrant construction market.

Position Overview:

They are seeking an exceptional General Superintendent to oversee all field operations for a $450 million, two-building project in Miami, FL, comprising a 7-star hotel and luxury high-rise residences. The ideal candidate will bring extensive experience managing large-scale hospitality and residential projects, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence. This role demands hands-on leadership, coordination with diverse teams, and expertise in navigating Miami’s complex construction environment to deliver an unparalleled luxury development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage all on-site construction activities for a $450M project, including a 7-star hotel and luxury high-rise residences, from groundbreaking to completion.
  • Oversee field crews, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure high-quality craftsmanship, particularly for bespoke finishes and intricate designs.
  • Develop and enforce detailed project schedules, coordinating trades to meet critical milestones and avoid delays.
  • Ensure strict compliance with OSHA safety regulations, Miami-Dade County building codes, and coastal environmental standards (e.g., hurricane preparedness).
  • Conduct daily site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and adherence to architectural and engineering plans.
  • Collaborate with project executives, architects, engineers, and clients to resolve issues, such as design conflicts or material shortages, in real time.
  • Utilize construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, PlanGrid) for scheduling, documentation, and communication.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients, inspectors, and stakeholders to ensure project alignment and satisfaction.
  • Mentor and train assistant superintendents and field staff, fostering a culture of safety, accountability, and excellence.
  • Mitigate risks unique to Miami, including weather-related delays, permitting challenges, and labor shortages.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 15 years of experience in the construction industry, with at least 7 years as a General Superintendent or Lead Superintendent for a large general contractor.
  • Experience managing at least 3 high-value projects (hospitality or luxury residential, $100M+ each), including at least one high-rise hotel or residence (20+ floors).
  • Proven expertise in overseeing complex, multimillion-dollar projects with bespoke finishes and high-end specifications.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and equipment for 7-star hotels and luxury residences.
  • Proficiency in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project) and scheduling tools.
  • In-depth understanding of Miami-Dade County building codes, permitting processes, and coastal construction regulations.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills, with a hands-on approach to field management.
  • OSHA 30 certification required; additional certifications (e.g., CCM, LEED AP, crane operation) preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field a plus.
  • Established relationships with South Florida subcontractors and suppliers preferred.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience managing hi end hotel or ultra-luxury residential projects in South Florida.
  • Familiarity with sustainable construction practices and certifications (e.g., LEED, WELL Building Standard).
  • Proven ability to deliver high-profile projects for discerning clients, ensuring premium quality and client satisfaction.
  • Expertise in navigating Miami’s regulatory environment, including fast-track permitting and coastal challenges.
